The Sushi was very fresh and the atmosphere quaint and cozy. I would definitely recommend Kuma to my friends.

One of the top highlights of my Japan trip was eating okonamyaki at Chibo in Osaka. While I've yet to experience anything quite that awesome, this was still very good and I will definitely return to Kuma for more. I visited with a friend on a Thursday night around 7:30. There were a few other patrons but it wasn't terribly busy. Nice, clean quiet space, great service, fair prices.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! I have eaten sushi at well over 100 places all over the lower mainland. This is one of my favourites. I will caution, this is like eating out in Italy. It’s not McDonald’s. if they’re busy, you will wait a decent amount of time. But why not use the opportunity to actually talk to the people you came with. I hate how we’re so fixated with get in get out and never take the time to enjoy good food with good conversation. With that being said it’s worth the wait. The freshest and higher quality tuna than most places. The dynamite roll is one of the best I’ve had. Everything about this place is awesome. It’s a family run place, and my family and I have been going here since they opened. I would t mind a few more tables as at times it’s quite busy, but then again probably has to do with Fire regulations. I digress. GREAT FOOD made by Japanese chefs, as opposed to most sushi spots in Vancouver that are not made by Japanese chef’s.
